Organisation Details

Christian Meditation is a form of contemplative prayer with the hallmarks of simplicity, silence and stillness. The Benedictine monk, John Main (1926 - 1982) rediscovered that this contemplative tradition existed within the early Christian church and then adapted it to meet contemporary needs.

The Christian Meditation Community WA is part of the Australian Christian Meditation Community (ACMC), which in turn, is part of the World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM).

In Western Australia we have a vibrant network of about 40 groups whose members meet weekly to practice CM together. Newcomers and beginners are always welcome. Additionally, we also offer Days of Reflection and Retreat Days throughout the year. These occasions are open to all and usually feature a guest speaker.

Details of our Calendar of Events and groups are on the ACMC website, see the relevant pages for WA. All enquiries welcome.

"In Contemplative Prayer we seek to become the person we are called to be, not by thinking of God but by being with God. Simply to be with God is to be drawn into being the person God calls us to be"

John Main OSB
