The weeks leading up to the special holiday have a certain feel, both festive and frantic as people prepare for the big day. It is well understood that the spiritual gift of Christmas can be easily missed amongst all the clamour of the season. Fortunately, the liturgical season of Advent presents us with some key teachings that help us get the most out of Christmas and not miss the treasured gift that is at the heart of it all. In this course we will look at some of the key biblical texts drawn on through Advent. Reflecting on them will open up how we can get the most out of Christmas and out of our faith in general.
