Catholic Associations

  • Aboriginal Ministry

Agencies that provide pastoral care to Indigenous people. They seek to meet the particular social, education and family needs of those Aboriginal people who are marginalised by society.

  • Marriage and Family Services

Marriage and family are fundamental to the life of the Church and society. The Church, therefore, provides programs to prepare people for marriage, to enrich marriage and family life, and to help couples who are experiencing difficulties.

The Church also promotes natural fertility services as positive alternatives to the destructive contraceptive mentality of our times. Natural fertility programs offer couples greater intimacy, awareness of one another, and respect for their mutual gift of fertility. Support services are also available to empower children, young people and adults to manage change, loss and grief.

  • Social Justice

The Church’s teachings on social justice are founded on the Gospel and have developed strongly over the last 140 years to meet the needs of a rapidly changing world and to respond to a variety of misinformed and in some cases noxious theories of politics and government. Agencies such as Catholic Mission and Caritas Australia promote social justice through education and through well-organised and on-going responses to the cries of those in need around the world.

  • Youth

Services available to support young people on their faith journey, and empower them to be leaders of positive change in their own lives and within the community.

  • Other Associations

Associations that operate within the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth providing particular services. They include prayer groups, lay associations, those working with the poor and marginalised, and groups promoting Catholic devotions.
