The West Australian Catholic Migrant and Refugee Office (WACMRO) and the Centre for Catholic Family and Justice Support Services (CFJSS) are seeking a proactive and highly organised Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support across both agencies.

WACMRO promotes the welcome, acceptance, and successful settlement of migrants and refugees within the Western Australian community, advocating for inclusion, dignity, and social participation. CFJSS furthers the mission of the Church through initiatives that strengthen family and marriage life, promote human dignity, and advance justice and community wellbeing.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to two mission-focused agencies that support diverse communities across the Archdiocese of Perth. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of services through high-quality administration, stakeholder engagement, event coordination, and financial support.

About the role - a snapshot:

Ensure Smooth Daily Operations – Use your exceptional administrative and organisational skills to support the daily operations of both WACMRO and CFJSS, including managing enquiries, coordinating schedules, maintaining records, and supporting key projects.

Make a meaningful impact – Support services that assist migrants, refugees, families, and communities by ensuring programs, events, and client services are delivered efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support including reception, enquiries, appointment scheduling, document preparation, and records management.
  • Coordinate meetings, calendars, travel arrangements, and committee administration, including agenda preparation and minute-taking.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of programs, events, seminars, and outreach activities.
  • Manage bookings and stakeholder communications, ensuring a professional and responsive customer service experience.
  • Support financial administration, including invoicing, reconciliations, expense tracking, and budget monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate databases, compliance records, and reporting documentation while ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Support communications activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative processes.

 

 

To be successful in this role, you will have proven administrative experience, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment. You will be comfortable handling confidential information, providing excellent customer service, and working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

 

Experience in financial administration, event coordination, committee support, and the Microsoft Office Suite will be highly regarded. Experience working within a Catholic, community, not-for-profit, or service-based organisation is advantageous

 

A valid National Police Clearance, WA Driver’s Licence, and the legal right to work in Australia are required.
