Historic Meeting of Council of Priests

One of the feature rooms in the recently refurbished Cathedral Presbytery, formerly known as the Archbishop's Palace, is the Chapter Hall which was built in the time of Archbishop Prendiville.
In its early days, the Chapter Hall was the place where the Archbishop would meet with his clergy.
However, in recent years, leading up to the refurbishment of the Cathedral Presbytery, which commenced in 2008, the Chapter Hall housed the Archdiocesan Archives, until they moved to their current location in Highgate in 2007.
With the refurbishment of the Chapter Hall, it was only appropriate that it be restored to its original use. Accordingly, on 11 November 2010, Archbishop Hickey met with his Council of Priests in the Cathedral Presbytery Chapter Hall as seen in the photo below.
