Building a Civilisation of Love
Building a Civilisation of Love

For the last three weeks, Perth has been the host of the international campaign, ‘40 days for Life’. This campaign has for its purpose to pray for the end of abortion. The peaceful prayer campaign began on Ash Wednesday and will end on Palm Sunday, April 17. Perth joins Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and over 300 cities around the world where the campaign has already drawn thousands of people of all ages to pray and fast for the end of abortion.
The daily routine consists of gathering together from 6am to 6pm for a peaceful prayer vigil outside Rivervale Pregnancy Termination Clinic on Cleaver Terrace. This includes daily mass at nearby St Augustine’s Parish Church for the unborn.
If you haven’t heard about this very important event yet and would like to know more detailed information visit the website: http://www.40daysforlife.com/perthwa/ and www.justicemandate.org
Attending one of the prayer vigils, or remembering all involved in your prayers and spiritual works even if you can’t attend is an appropriate way to journey through this Lenten season.
