Prayer Focus in the Sacred Heart Chapel, St Mary's Cathedral

With a matter of days left before the black box of Malaysian Airways flight MH370 is due to run out of battery, the world's focus is concentrated on activity in and around the investigative hub of Perth.

With a matter of days left before the black box of Malaysian Airways flight MH370 is due to run out of battery, the world's focus is concentrated on activity in and around the investigative hub of Perth.

As any short-term hope of finding the aircraft begins to diminish among those left waiting for news of loved ones, St Mary's Cathedral has created a space where people can go to reflect and pray for all those affected by this recent tragedy.

The names of all 239 passengers and crew are inscribed on the front of the altar in the Chapel of the Sacred Heart. Above these are individual flags that represent all 14 nationalities on board the plane.

We ask that people of prayer remember before God all those connected with this tragic event.
