Lockridge Parish Youth Ministry and Young Adults Ministry gave importance and meaning of the Easter Triduum with a re-enactment of the Good Friday Stations of the Cross.
ALIVE Youth Ministry Leader Sam Rechichi, said the Stations of the Cross re-enactment, which were an integral part of the Easter Triduum, aimed to help all parishioners reflect on the trials and tribulations that Jesus faced.
“It serves us with a reminder of the pain, suffering and sacrifice that Jesus made for the good of all his people,” he said.
With a gathering of more than 600 people at the stations, Mr Rechichi said the youth ministry performed a memorable and moving story that captured the Stations of the Cross in a meaningful way.
“Each station involved a reference to modern day society and aimed to raise awareness of situations around us and encourage us to do what we can to help others, to act as a reflection of Jesus in everyday life,” he said
“These reflections were drawn from World Youth Day 2016 and were chosen by the youth. “They opened up our eyes to the suffering of others and encouraged us to do what we can to relieve this suffering.
