Partnership with INKA is well on the way

There was lots of excitement in the air when participants gathered with their families at what will be their new home.
Work is well underway on the two houses in Koondoola that are being built with an innovative construction method which sees quick results.
The homes are architecturally designed to accommodate three people with their own bedroom and ensuite and spacious indoor and outdoor living areas.
“We are looking forward to the completion of this project which is being delivered faster and more efficiently than traditional building methods, including the latest smart technology and environmental features while complying to all the requirements of the National Disability Insurance Schemes’ Specialist Disability Accommodation Standards for Improved Liveability,” Identitywa CEO Marina Re said.
At Identitywa’s February 2021 Board meeting, Board Chair, Graeme Mander and Managing Director of Zorzi Group David Reynolds, signed a collaborative agreement that will see INKA, led by General Manager Danielle Devereux and Director Wayne Randall, construct six residential homes for Identitywa participants.
These newly constructed homes will utilise innovative construction methods from a ‘state of the art’ Perth based manufacturing facility. They will be delivered in line with INKA precision in craftsmanship and focus on energy efficient sustainable living. This progressive construction method will see significant reductions in build timeframes, adding tremendous value in addressing the housing shortage that is currently impacting Western Australia.
“Our collaboration with Zorzi and INKA will create houses designed around the specific needs of people with disability, which is a perfect fit with our vision to build a community where all people live with a sense of purpose, a sense of belonging and a sense of wellbeing,” said Identitywa Board Chair Graeme Mander.

“Our Board recognised some time ago the growing need to provide modern, well designed and fully accessible homes for people with disability who require housing.
“We are delighted to be working with the team at Zorzi and INKA. This important initiative is one of the focus areas of our 2025 Strategy,” she added.
