Marriage and family are fundamental to the life of the Church and society. The Church, therefore, provides programs to prepare people for marriage, to enrich marriage and family life, and to help couples who are experiencing difficulties. The Church also promotes natural fertility services as positive alternatives to the destructive contraceptive mentality of our times. Natural fertility programs offer couples greater intimacy, awareness of one another, and respect for their mutual gift of fertility.
