COORDINATOR, FAITH FORMATION (CATHOLIC YOUTH MINISTRY)
Maximum Term (12 Months), Full-Time hours
This role will require you to work some weeknights and weekends when our youth are most active.
Catholic Youth Ministry (CYM) is the official agency for youth ministry in the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth, assisting young people aged 12-30 to build a lasting relationship with Jesus.
The Coordinator, Faith Formation will be responsible for developing, delivering, and reviewing a dedicated faith formation program for young people in the Archdiocese of Perth. This position encompasses a variety of tasks that relate to supporting parish youth and young adult groups, assisting in parish and diocesan youth events, and liaising with clergy, schools, other agencies, and movements. They will be responsible for recruiting, leading and working with teams of volunteers to meet program deliverables, and assist in the delivery of catechesis for youth events.
This role will also require you to contribute to the success of youth events and programs, including the set up and set down of the event, moving and transporting equipment and other items for the event, catering and assisting in the coordination of participants, volunteers and other personnel. You will be required to work some weeknights and weekends when our youth are most active.

The successful candidate must have Qualifications in Theology, Faith Formation and Training. An in-depth understanding of the Catholic Faith and Church practices, and theology and liturgy in the Roman Catholic tradition will be required. A valid National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, WA Driver’s Licence, proof of Right to Work in Australia is required. |
