Directives for Churches and Chapels within the
Catholic Archdiocese of Perth
Level 1 Measures State-wide will be introduced from 12:01am Thursday, 31 March 2022

The Western Australian Government has announced that from 12:01am, Thursday, 31 March 2022, public health and social measures will ease across WA to modified Level 1 measures.
The new Level 1 measures consist of the following:
Mask Wearing
• Mask wearing will continue to be required for people aged 8 years and above (and Year 3 and over in school), other than in the home (usual exemptions from mask requirements apply).
Density and Capacity Limits
The 2 square metre (2sqm) rule applies to Places of Worship from 12:01am, Thursday, 31 March 2022. Contact registration is not required at Places of Worship.
Hospitals, Aged and Disability Care Facilities
• The limit of 2 visitors will remain per resident/per day to residential aged and disability care facilities. Proof of vaccination applies for visitors.
• There will also be no change concerning essential visitors allowed to hospitals, for:
o compassionate reasons such as end of life
o accompanying a child or patient with complex needs
o birthing partner
o carer of a person with a disability, chronic illness and frailty.
