Catholic Archbishop of Perth Timothy Costelloe SDB has invited Bishop Mykola Bychok CSsR, Eparch of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Australia, to celebrate the Divine Liturgy according to the Rites of the Greek Catholic Church of Ukraine at St Mary’s Cathedral on Sunday, 27 March 2022 commencing at 2.30pm.

Archbishop Costelloe SDB, Auxiliary Bishop Don Sproxton and Archdiocesan Priests will concelebrate this liturgical service with Bishop Mykola. Church Leaders representing the Christian churches across Perth have been warmly invited to attend and join in prayer for those suffering and affected by the war in the Ukraine. The Most Reverend Kay Goldsworthy AO, Anglican Archbishop of Perth and Fr Abram Abdelmalek, Coptic Orthodox Church have confirmed attendance.

As a result of current health directives, St Mary’s Cathedral will be restricted to a maximum of just 150 people permitted to attend. Due to the significant number of people expressing strong interest, The Ukrainian Catholic Church’s Divine Liturgy will be livestreamed via YouTube and Facebook.
