The Catholic Archdiocese of Perth respects the decision of the District Court of Western Australia handed down today, in the sentencing of Fr Richard Doyle.
The Catholic Archdiocese of Perth renews its unreserved apology to all those who have suffered the horror of sexual abuse perpetrated by clergy, religious and lay church workers.
The protection of children is the archdiocese’s highest priority, and the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth accepts that this was not always upheld in the past. This is a matter of enduring regret and remorse.
