Coat of Arms
Motto
"Out into the Deep!" Duc in Altum translated means “Put out into the deep”. In Luke 5:3-5, Jesus calls his disciples to look with him for a catch, to be missionary minded. Implied in the call, to let down the nets, is that we listen to the voice of Christ and respond with courage and faith.
The coat of arms consists of a shield upon a Latin cross (ie. the cross has a single horizontal bar or traverse) surmounted by a green galero (hat) with 6 fiochi (tassels) suspended on each side. These are standard ecclesiastical Heraldic devices indicating the coat of arms is that of a Bishop
