Officer, RCIA and Liturgy  – Centre for Christian Initiation and Liturgy

Maximum Term – 3 Months

Full-time

The Officer, RCIA and Liturgy, supports the supervisor in providing formation and support to parish communities in all aspects of liturgical life and Christian initiation, including supporting adults, children, and youth seeking to become Catholic. This role assists with the development and promotion of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) in parishes and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Young People (RCIYP) workshop.

 

About the role - a snapshot: 

1 

Workshop Coordination and Formation – Develop and deliver parish workshops and formation sessions as required.

Operational Support – Assist with the coordination of the major Archdiocesan Liturgical and RCIA events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and promote the RCIA process across parishes
  • Develop formation materials and resources
  • Provide regular workshops and activity reports to the supervisor
  • Support accessible promotion of events and maintain participant records.
  • Maintain contact databases to support ongoing parish formation

 

To be successful in this role, you will need strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse communities, have a sound understanding of liturgical practices and the RCIA process, as well as the ability to engage with Church personnel at all levels.

 

A valid National Police Clearance, WA Working with Children Check (WWC), WA Driver’s Licence, and the legal right to work in Australia are required.
